Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience with various automotive repair tasks. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing both hand and power tools to perform repairs, maintenance, and fabrication on vehicles. The Body Shop Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Perform automotive repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to dealership standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as auto painting, welding, and fabrication. Conduct thorough auto estimating to assess the necessary repairs and provide accurate timelines for completion. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Keep detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for inventory management purposes. Requirements Proven experience as a body shop technician or in a similar role within an automotive environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely. Familiarity with auto painting techniques and body work repair is required. Experience with welding and fabrication processes is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform precise work under pressure. Previous experience in a dealership setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
