This role is responsible for preparing vehicle parts and components for paint, including Kevlar finishes and custom automotive applications. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working in a fast-paced custom automotive environment, we'd like to hear from you. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint sprayers to apply primer and base coats with precision and consistency Handle Kevlar materials and custom finishes, ensuring proper layering and adherence for specialized automotive projects Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles for imperfections, addressing issues such as scratches or surface irregularities before painting Assist with auto body repair tasks including minor welding, dent removal, and auto glass replacement to support comprehensive vehicle restoration Buff, polish, and detail painted surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-gloss finish that meets quality standards Support vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including light mechanical work or auto estimating to streamline workflow Experience Prior dealership or auto body shop experience is highly preferred; familiarity with auto painting techniques is a plus Hands-on experience with welding, auto restoration, or mechanic work demonstrates valuable mechanical knowledge Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment is essential for efficient prep work Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto glass replacement enhances your versatility in our shop environment Strong customer service skills are beneficial for communicating updates or concerns to clients effectively Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods is required to meet the demands of the role Experience with detailing, buffing, auto estimating, or auto painting will help you excel in delivering top-tier results Join us in creating exceptional automotive finishes that turn heads!
