Key Responsibilities:
Complete the disassembly of the vehicle to examine the damage and plan the repair process. Perform all body repairs according to estimates while maintaining high-quality standards. Work and communicate effectively with the team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery. Perform quality repairs with safety, cost, and cycle time in mind. Make decisions on repair vs. replacement, considering safety, cost, and repair timelines. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Weld and fabricate metal components when necessary. Attend daily release meetings to coordinate workflow and repair progress. Collaborate with estimators and other team members to ensure efficient and timely repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician in a collision repair facility. Expertise in automotive body repair techniques, welding, and part replacement. Ability to use power tools, hydraulic equipment, and other industry-specific tools safely and efficiently. Knowledge of vehicle structural integrity and an understanding of OEM repair standards. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Own your own tools.
