Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and become a vital part of transforming vehicles back to their original glory! In this energetic role, you'll utilize your expert craftsmanship to repair, restore, and enhance a wide variety of vehicles. Your skills will help customers regain confidence in their rides while ensuring safety, quality, and precision in every project. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and collision damage restoration using advanced techniques and tools. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding methods to join sheet metal and fabricate custom parts as needed. Conduct auto painting using paint spraying equipment to achieve flawless finishes that match original colors. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, assembly, sanding, buffing, and detailing of vehicle surfaces. Assess vehicle damage accurately for auto estimating purposes and communicate repair plans clearly with team members. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, fabrication, and repair procedures. Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair processes. Proficiency with sheet metal work, auto restoration techniques, and auto painting including airless paint spraying. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of auto glass replacement procedures and auto estimating software is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines. Automotive repair or mechanic experience that demonstrates versatility across different vehicle systems is advantageous.
