Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with attention to detail Perform surface preparation tasks including grinding, buffing, and polishing to achieve a smooth, glossy finish Conduct auto body repairs such as filling dents, repairing scratches, and welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity Use automotive buffing tools and techniques to enhance the final appearance of painted surfaces Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling paints, solvents, and power tools while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection Collaborate with technicians and estimators to ensure proper vehicle restoration and customer satisfaction Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body painting and refinishing Proficiency with welding, grinding, sanding, and the use of hand tools and power tools for auto body repair Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Expertise in automotive surface preparation, masking techniques, and surface finishing methods Skilled in the use of painting and coating spray guns, airless paint spraying systems, and buffing equipment Knowledge of automotive paints, primers, clear coats, and surface preparation materials Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate auto glass replacement tools when necessary Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience for seamless client interactions Familiarity with auto body repair standards and automotive buffing techniques for a professional finish Commitment to safety practices including respiratory protection when handling paints or chemicals Join our team if you're ready to bring your passion for automotive refinishing into a fast-paced environment where quality craftsmanship is celebrated!
