Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Tech to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for performing automotive structural repairs, auto body repairs, and cosmetic refinishing to restore vehicles to their original condition. You will utilize advanced fabrication, welding, and sanding techniques to ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair, excellent mechanical knowledge, and experience working with various tools and equipment. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Fabricate custom parts or repair panels utilizing fabrication skills and sheet metal expertise. Use automotive welding equipment, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying systems to achieve precise finishes. Conduct auto restoration projects involving auto painting, automotive cosmetic repair, and automotive body refinishing to meet manufacturer standards. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with attention to detail. Maintain thorough documentation of repair processes, estimates, and vehicle condition assessments for customer service clarity. Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, auto parts installation, and general automotive repair duties as needed. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding repair, sheet metal fabrication, sanding, and finishing. Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with automotive structural repair standards and auto restoration processes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including auto painting, auto glass installation, and automotive parts installation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Valid experience with auto estimating software is a plus; dealership experience is highly preferred. Join our team where your craftsmanship makes a difference! Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
