Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Autobody/Rust Repair Technician and become a vital part of restoring vehicles to their original glory! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodies, addressing rust damage, and performing structural repairs with precision and care. Your expertise will help ensure our customers' vehicles look great, function safely, and are returned to the road in top condition. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work using hand tools, power tools, and automotive welding equipment. Conduct rust repair and corrosion prevention techniques to extend vehicle lifespan. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques to restore vehicle structures accurately. Prepare surfaces through sanding, sanding tools, and automotive body refinishing to achieve a smooth finish. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision. Apply auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying for cosmetic repairs and refinishing projects. Use automotive structural repair knowledge to assess damage, develop repair plans, and execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in auto restoration with a strong background in auto body repair. Dealership experience or similar automotive repair background is highly preferred. Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, automotive parts installation, and auto glass replacement. Familiarity with sheet metal work, sanding tools, automotive cosmetic repair, and auto painting processes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, automotive welding equipment, and sanders effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working on vehicles at various heights or positions.
