In this role, you will perform a variety of repair and restoration tasks, utilizing your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance. Your craftsmanship will ensure every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques, including sanding, sanding tools, and auto painting to achieve a flawless finish. Perform welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering to fix sheet metal and structural components. Fabricate custom parts and repair sections using fabrication techniques, working with sheet metal and heavy lifting tools to ensure proper fitment. Conduct auto glass replacement and repairs, ensuring safety standards are met and vehicles are restored to factory specifications. Utilize power tools, hand tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other fabrication repair techniques for efficient repairs. Assist with auto restoration projects by applying detailed auto body work, assembly skills, and automotive repair knowledge. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; support vehicle maintenance tasks as needed. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and automotive welding equipment operation. Solid mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and auto glass installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, fabrication techniques, and sheet metal work. Familiarity with auto painting processes including auto painting techniques and airless paint spraying. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during auto body repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about repair processes and estimates.
