Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition using advanced automotive structural repair techniques, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing. Your expertise in welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize automotive welding equipment, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying systems to restore vehicles to factory specifications. Conduct auto painting, refinishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless cosmetic appearance. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, trim components, and other replacement parts with precision. Apply fabrication repair techniques to create custom panels or modify existing structures as needed for restoration projects. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, perform vehicle maintenance, and ensure proper assembly of repaired components. Adhere to safety protocols while heavy lifting and operating various hand tools and power tools throughout the repair process. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, customer service inquiries, and ensuring timely completion of repairs. Skills Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication techniques specific to automotive applications. Knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and cosmetic repair processes. Skilled in using sheet metal tools, sanding equipment, auto painting systems, and automotive parts installation tools. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and automotive repair procedures. Familiarity with auto glass replacement, auto body refinishing, and automotive dent repair methods. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while performing high-quality repairs under tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
