Rate and Days :
$25.00 per hour working 40 hours a week Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Do you have a sharp eye for detail, take pride in doing the job right the first time, and enjoy working as part of a team? We're looking for a Paint Preparer to join our busy body shop and help us deliver high-quality repairs and finishes for our customers. As a Paint Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing repaired and primed vehicle panels for refinishing, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for paint, and supporting our painters so vehicles move efficiently through the shop. What you'll do Sand, block, and prepare repaired and primed panels so they are smooth and free of visible imperfections before paint application. Mask and protect adjacent panels, trim, glass, and other non-painted surfaces to prevent overspray and damage. Clean and wipe down surfaces to remove dust, grease, and contaminants prior to painting. Assist painters by keeping vehicles on schedule and communicating progress or issues promptly. Help with light disassembly and reassembly of parts as needed for proper prep and finishing. Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for tools and equipment. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials. What we're looking for Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and shop procedures consistently. Positive attitude and ability to get along well with painters, body technicians, estimators, and office staff. Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous paint prep, detailing, or auto body experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
