Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator specializing in auto body repairs to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure seamless service. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, maximize customer satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of automotive repair quality. Duties Evaluate vehicle damage through thorough inspections, including auto body repair, mechanical assessments, and automotive diagnostics to determine necessary repairs Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using industry-standard estimating software and manual calculations Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair scope, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and build trust Collaborate with service technicians, mechanics, and parts departments to coordinate repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, diesel engine repairs, and more Assist in upselling additional services like vehicle maintenance packages or recommended repairs to enhance customer value and dealership revenue Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions while ensuring all documentation complies with company policies Support dealership sales efforts by providing accurate vehicle assessments and contributing to automobile sales initiatives Skills Proven dealership experience with auto estimating and service writing skills Strong mechanical knowledge across various automotive systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments Hands-on experience in automotive repair processes such as auto body repair and oil change procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to identify additional sales opportunities through upselling relevant services and repairs Familiarity with auto service management software and cash handling procedures Knowledge of mechanic experience that supports accurate damage assessment and repair planning Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional automotive care!
