Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Auto Body technician to join our team, bringing expertise in vehicle restoration, auto body repair, and painting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, utilizing advanced techniques and tools to deliver top-quality results. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transforming vehicles through precise painting, repairs, and finishing touches, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will contribute to the overall vehicle maintenance process, making this position both challenging and rewarding. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools. Execute auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore vehicle integrity. Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring smooth finishes and color matching. Perform buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless appearance on painted surfaces. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed to ensure safety and quality standards. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto estimating, and auto restoration projects. Use auto estimating software to assess repair costs and communicate with customers about work scope. Lift heavy parts or equipment safely during repair or restoration processes while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair and painting. Strong welding skills with the ability to perform metal repairs effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems, maintenance, and auto restoration. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like airless paint sprayers. Experience with auto glass installation and detailing techniques. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and customer service principles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Auto mechanic experience is highly desirable for comprehensive vehicle care expertise.
