917-783-2557 Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, assess their vehicle needs, and clearly explain repair options with confidence. Write detailed service estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and ensure accuracy for all repairs. Manage shop workflow by scheduling repairs, coordinating technician assignments, and prioritizing jobs to maximize productivity. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission repairs to enhance customer value. Oversee daily shop operations including parts ordering, inventory management, and cash handling to ensure smooth processes. Lead and motivate a team of service technicians by providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, collision repair procedures, and quality standards. An Estimator is responsible for owning the full estimates and repair process post-vehicle teardown and ensuring quality repairs are provided promptly Estimate all drive-in appointments as well as "walk-in" customers and complete repair plans Complete process review with the customer
Repair Orders:
All files are opened with BAR (CA) and DRP compliance, including obtaining proper authorizations Check in the vehicle upon drop off with the customer Prepare and complete proper paperwork for the final customer packet prior to vehicle delivery (DRP, final invoice) Comply with all up-to-date OEM repair procedures Provide post-repair plan communication, including all vehicle status updates Total loss administration Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an excellent customer service experience Final QC, including the test drive Deliver vehicle to customer upon completion Requirements Proven experience in auto service management or shop supervision within an automotive repair environment. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire services, oil changes, brake repairs, and auto body work. Hands-on mechanic experience or dealership background preferred to understand technical details thoroughly. Skilled in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience essential for test drives or vehicle inspections. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing shop operations and financial transactions such as cash handling.
