In this vital role, you'll assess vehicle damage accurately, prepare detailed estimates, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians. Your energetic approach and mechanical knowledge will ensure customers receive top-tier service while maximizing shop efficiency. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the scope of repairs needed, including auto body repair, mechanical issues, and cosmetic damage. Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates utilizing auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and clarity for customers and insurance companies. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines while providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Collaborate closely with technicians and management to prioritize repairs, schedule work, and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, alignments, and transmission repairs. Upsell additional services like diagnostics for automotive systems, air brake inspections, shocks & struts replacements, or diesel engine repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue. Handle all aspects of service writing and documentation accurately, including invoicing and cash handling when necessary. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions to ensure compliance and streamline workflow. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repairs such as oil changes or tire services. Familiarity with auto estimating tools and software is essential for preparing accurate repair estimates. Hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background is a plus for understanding complex automotive systems like transmissions or suspensions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, alignment services, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and automotive diagnostics. Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cash handling procedures.
