In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces by smoothing and refining the bodywork after repairs, ensuring a flawless finish that meets quality standards. Your expertise will help restore vehicles to their original condition, contributing to customer satisfaction and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team dedicated to excellence in auto body repair and restoration. Responsibilities Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint sprayers to sand, smooth, and prep vehicle surfaces after collision repairs or bodywork applications Remove paint, rust, and imperfections from vehicle panels with precision sanding techniques Assist in auto painting processes by preparing surfaces for primer and paint application Collaborate with auto body technicians and estimators to ensure repair specifications are met accurately Perform light auto glass removal and reinstallation as needed during the sanding process Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Support auto restoration projects by applying buffing and detailing techniques to achieve high-quality finishes • Skills Prior dealership or collision center experience highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and buffing equipment used in sanding and finishing tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parts handling or equipment setup
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
