Auto Body / Collision Repair Technician - State Road Auto Body & Repair Parma, Ohio Build Repairs You Can Be Proud Of At State Road Auto Body & Repair, we believe collision repair is more than replacing parts and painting panels. Every vehicle we repair represents a customer who trusts us with one of their largest investments and, more importantly, the safety of their family. We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician who takes pride in performing quality repairs, following OEM repair procedures, and delivering vehicles back to pre-accident condition. Our shop invests in the equipment, training, and repair processes necessary to perform safe and proper repairs on today's increasingly complex vehicles. Position Summary The Collision Repair Technician is responsible for disassembly, structural and non-structural repairs, panel replacement, metal repair, reassembly, and quality control inspections. Technicians work closely with estimators, production staff, painters, and management to ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate understands that quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction all work together to create a successful repair process. Responsibilities Perform complete vehicle disassembly and damage analysis. Repair or replace damaged body panels and structural components. Perform metal finishing and panel alignment. Measure and restore vehicle structures using approved repair methods. Follow OEM repair procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Identify and communicate additional damage or repair needs. Perform welding, sectioning, and panel replacement operations as required. Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition. Assist with quality control inspections throughout the repair process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly document repairs and communicate repair status updates. Work collaboratively with estimators, technicians, painters, and management. Meet productivity and quality standards while maintaining repair accuracy. Qualifications 3+ years collision repair experience preferred. Ability to perform both structural and non-structural repairs. Knowledge of modern vehicle construction methods, including high-strength steel and aluminum repair principles. Understanding of OEM repair procedures and repair documentation. Experience with welding equipment, frame measuring systems, and collision repair tools. Ability to read repair plans, estimates, and repair procedures. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications I-CAR training and certifications. ASE certifications. OEM certification experience. Frame and structural repair experience. Mechanical aptitude and ADAS awareness. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate collision repair equipment and power tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Compensation Top performers have the opportunity to earn $65,000 - $125,000+ annually , depending on skill level, productivity, certifications, and experience. Why State Road?
