Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician, where your expertise in automotive structural repair and cosmetic restoration will bring vehicles back to their original glory! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automotive welding equipment, sheet metal fabrication tools, and advanced auto painting techniques. As a vital part of our collision repair center, you'll be responsible for performing high-quality repairs, including auto body repair, dent removal, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration projects. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure every vehicle is restored to perfection, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and driving our reputation for excellence. Duties Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and automotive welding equipment. Fabricate and shape sheet metal components to match original specifications using fabrication and soldering skills. Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and chassis alignment, utilizing automotive repair tools and heavy lifting techniques. Conduct auto body refinishing, sanding, and painting with airless paint spraying equipment to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as bumpers, panels, auto glass, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Utilize automotive estimating skills to assess damage, prepare repair plans, and communicate effectively with customers about repair processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards; perform detailing and cosmetic repairs to enhance vehicle appearance. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision repair environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding (MIG welding), sheet metal work, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair. Proficiency in fabrication repair techniques, auto restoration projects, and automotive parts installation. Mechanical aptitude with experience in vehicle maintenance, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and automotive structural repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, sanding tools, and airless paint sprayers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repair processes clearly; experience with auto estimating is a plus. Valid certifications or experience in working with automotive welding equipment or fabrication repair techniques are preferred but not required. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
