Job Description

Shop Technician - Body & Heavy-Duty Repair City Paint & Body is looking for a dependable Body Shop Technician to join our team. We work on commercial fleet vehicles, medium-duty trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, utility trucks, and some passenger vehicles. Our work includes collision repair, body repair, fabrication, paint prep, and general repair work, but we do not focus on retail passenger-vehicle work. What You'll Do Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on medium-duty, semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment Assist with body work, suspension components, and general shop repairs Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment Inspect equipment, identify issues, and support repair planning Help maintain and repair shop equipment to keep operations running smoothly Keep accurate job notes and maintenance records Assist with parts identification and ordering Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Support the team wherever needed to keep work moving What We're Looking For Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to work in a team-focused, fast-paced shop environment Experience with heavy-duty trucks/trailers is a plus (not required for the right candidate) Why This Role Work on real equipment —not repetitive light-duty jobs Be part of a solid, experienced team Opportunity to grow skills across body, suspension, and repair work Stable, long-term position in a specialized shop
