In this energetic role, you will prepare vehicles for repair by performing essential cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation tasks. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will ensure that each vehicle is ready for the skilled technicians to deliver top-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your auto body repair expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment committed to excellence. Duties Thoroughly clean and prep vehicles by removing dirt, debris, and old paint to ensure optimal surface conditions for repairs Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to mask off areas and apply primer or paint as needed Perform sanding, buffing, and detailing to achieve smooth surfaces and high-quality finishes Assist with auto glass removal and installation to facilitate repairs or restorations Support auto painting processes by preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings with precision Handle heavy lifting tasks safely when moving vehicles or parts within the shop Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the repair process Qualifications Previous dealership or auto body shop experience highly preferred Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems relevant to vehicle repair Familiarity with auto painting, buffing, detailing, and auto glass procedures Experience with auto estimating software is a plus but not required Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and airless paint sprayers effectively Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship makes a real difference!
