Job Description
Since 1963 Liberty Superstores, owned and operated by the Patnoe family, with four generations of car dealers, has been proud to serve the Black Hills of South Dakota and surrounding areas. Liberty Superstores has grown to 10 franchises in 6 locations in Rapid City and Sturgis. We have the best selection of new vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Fiat, Dodge, Ram, Chevrolet, and Powersports! Liberty Superstores is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill our open auto body service technician position. Duties and Responsibilities Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received and notifies management of any additional repairs/supplements needed. Prepares vehicles for body repair work. Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time. Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles on an as needed basis. Maintains an accurate log of work performed. Maintain knowledge of new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay ahead of the rapidly changing automotive technology world. Maintain equipment and tools in good condition. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Performs related duties as assigned.
