Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and restoration, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves working on various vehicle types, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service. Duties Perform auto body repairs, including collision damage and structural repairs. Utilize MIG welding and fabrication techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. Conduct mechanical assessments and vehicle maintenance as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for repairs, detailing, and painting. Execute sheet metal work and soldering tasks for precise repairs. Engage in auto restoration projects to bring vintage vehicles back to life. Assemble parts and components accurately during the repair process. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and progress. Estimate repair costs accurately to ensure transparency with customers. Handle heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment safely. Qualifications Previous experience in an auto body shop or dealership preferred. Proficiency in MIG welding, fabrication, and mechanical knowledge is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair techniques is required. Experience in auto painting, including airless paint spraying methods. Knowledge of auto glass installation and detailing practices is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for various repair tasks. Mechanic experience is beneficial for understanding vehicle systems.
