In this role, you will assess vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and coordinate with technicians and insurance companies to ensure efficient service delivery. Your mechanical knowledge and dealership experience will be instrumental in providing top-tier service, helping customers get back on the road quickly and confidently. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess repair needs across various systems including body, mechanical, suspension, and transmission components. Prepare detailed and precise auto estimates using industry-standard estimating software, ensuring all repairs are accounted for with transparency. Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and satisfaction. Collaborate with insurance adjusters to facilitate smooth claim processing and approval of repairs. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the repair process. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, or diesel engine repairs when appropriate to enhance customer value. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of estimates, work orders, and customer interactions. Requirements Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background with a strong understanding of auto estimating processes. Mechanical knowledge including automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, suspension systems, tire service, and alignment procedures. Hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable to better understand repair complexities. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and software used for estimating repairs. Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cash handling procedures.
