At Western Collision in Lubbock, we specialize in truck and commercial vehicle collision repair, from box trucks and transit vans to F-350s and school buses . If you've worked on cars, your skills transfer directly, and we provide the specialty equipment to make truck collision repair easier than you think. About Us Western Collision is Lubbock's trusted collision repair and paint shop for fleets and commercial vehicles. By mastering truck body repair, fiberglass, and aluminum work , you'll add valuable skills that increase your earning power and open new career paths. A Day in the Life As an Auto Body Technician at Western Collision, you will: Perform bodywork, bondo shaping, and dent repair on fiberglass, aluminum, and steel panels. Replace and align body panels with precision. Carry out fiberglass and aluminum repairs unique to commercial vehicles. Complete standard disassembly and reassembly tasks (panels, trim, bumpers, lights). Work alongside painters and estimators to deliver repairs that meet OEM standards. Use your craftsmanship to restore vehicles that people rely on every day. What You Bring (Must Haves / Nice to Haves) Must Haves A professional full set of body tools and your own toolbox (hammers, dollies, sanders, grinders, etc.). Strong ability to complete bodywork, filler shaping, dent repairs, and metal finishing . Execute sheet metal work, including cutting, shaping, and welding as necessary. Skill in panel replacement and surface preparation for paint. Attention to detail and pride in high-quality work. A valid driver's license. Nice to Haves I-CAR or OEM certifications. Experience with trucks, buses, or fleet vehicles. Familiarity with ADAS components and recalibration. Proficient in MIG welding, fabrication, and mechanical knowledge of automotive systems. What We Offer Pay you can plan on: $20-$39/hr, depending on your tools and experience, plus performance bonuses.
