We are actively hiring a Reconditioning Technician at our Young Collision Center in Layton . As a Reconditioning Technician , you will be responsible for repairing and refinishing cosmetic vehicle damage with a primary focus on wheel repair and restoration. This role includes sanding, masking, paint prep, refinishing, and restoring wheels to dealership quality standards while operating sanding and spray equipment and inspecting completed repairs for consistency and appearance. Previous experience in wheel repair, automotive refinishing, paint, body shop work, or reconditioning is a plus . 1 Responsibilities Repair cosmetic wheel damage including curb rash scratches scuffs and surface imperfections Prepare wheels for refinishing through cleaning sanding masking and surface prep Apply primer paint and clear coat to restore wheel appearance and finish quality Inspect completed repairs for consistency color match and overall quality Safely operate tools sanders spray equipment and other shop equipment Move vehicles as needed throughout the shop and designated areas Communicate repair concerns or additional damage to management as needed Follow all company safety and quality standards Qualifications Previous experience in wheel repair automotive refinishing paint body shop or reconditioning work preferred Familiarity with sanding tools paint systems spray equipment and automotive prep techniques Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed
