Are you a skilled Auto Body Technician looking for a new opportunity? Beckstrom on 2nd is seeking a motivated and talented Auto Body Technicians to join our team in Ogden, UT. As a Body Tech you will play a crucial role in restoring damaged vehicles to their former glory by completing high-quality repairs in a timely manner. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in auto body repair. Review each repair order, work order, and estimator's notes to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work on the vehicle. Communicate with Estimator of any additional damages and parts needed for repair. Skillfully straighten bent frames and expertly weld structural components to ensure the vehicle's structural integrity. Use various hand and power tools to remove, reshape, and install parts, as well as performing welding and metalworking tasks. Prepare surfaces for painting through meticulous body filler and sanding work. Ensure all repairs meet industry safety and quality standards, following established procedures and guidelines. Collaborate closely with other technicians and effectively communicate with the service team to ensure efficient, on-time workflow. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices as well as tools and equipment are in a proper state of repair. Inspect the completed repairs to ensure they meet industry standards and company expectations. This includes verifying proper fitment of parts, paint color accuracy, and overall repair quality. Requirements/Skills Positive attitude and "fix it right the first time" mentality. Demonstrated experience and proficiency as an Auto Body Repair Technician with a strong track record of successful repairs. Knowledge of all types of auto body repair is essential, such as plastic, fiberglass, aluminum and metal. Solid knowledge of automotive repair techniques and tools, including expertise in using body shop equipment such as welders and frame straightening tools. Ability to accurately assess vehicle body damage and develop effective repair plans to achieve optimal results. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in every repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, demonstrating resourcefulness and adaptability in overcoming challenges. Effective communication and team-oriented attitude towards fostering a positive working environment and collaboration among shop family. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification and driver's license. Applicants must be 18 years old or above and eligible to work in the United States. Must have full use of body and senses to use heavy machinery, lift heavy parts, and repair heavy equipment. This position will require extended periods of bending, kneeling, standing, sitting and squatting as well as lifting, carrying and pushing of materials (over 50lbs). Ability to withstand fumes/chemicals, changes in weather conditions (within reason). I-Car certifications are a plus, but not required. Why Beckstrom on 2nd?
