Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto estimating and automotive repair, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, providing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. Duties Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed. Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs using industry-standard software. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and costs. Provide recommendations for additional services such as shocks, struts, and other vehicle maintenance needs. Collaborate with technicians to ensure repairs are completed according to estimates. Manage cash handling processes related to customer transactions. Upsell services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase shop profitability. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and industry trends. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in auto estimating or a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, particularly in auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and dealership operations is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of upselling techniques and service management is a plus. A valid driver's license is required.
