Job Description
Joe Holland Chevrolet, Inc. Body Shop Estimator Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement. Essential Duties Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage. Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors. Assists in determining if vehicle is economical to repair or should be considered a total loss by the insurance company. Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item. Reviews repair cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager. Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations. Receive assignments, initiate customer contact and create daily routes in order to serve our customers in a timely manner Upload appraisals and photos into our imaging systems and use the CCC One claims system to document notes and update customers and insurance companies. Follow the I-Car and OEM guidelines including, but not limited to, replacement parts usage, timelines, total losses, refinish and body repairs. General office skills including faxing, copying and filing; typing Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of people. Ability to juggle several tasks and work well with fellow employees, insurance adjusters and customers. Other tasks as assigned. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two to four years related experience and/or training is required. CCC ONE experience is required. CDK experience is preferred. Reliable and predictable attendance is required Valid Driver's License Benefits Work-life balance, including a five-day work week (closed Saturday and Sunday).
