This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in the 12-volt industry who can perform high-quality installations, diagnose problems, manage more advanced projects, and help set the standard for the rest of the installation team. The right candidate should be confident working independently while also being able to lead, teach, and assist other technicians when needed. Responsibilities
- Perform professional car audio and 12-volt installations
- Install radios, speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, processors, cameras, lighting, and other aftermarket electronics
- Handle automotive, marine, and powersports installations
- Diagnose electrical, audio, wiring, and installation-related problems
- Read wiring diagrams and properly test circuits
- Perform clean OEM-style wiring and integration
- Complete advanced system integration on newer vehicles
- Perform custom fabrication and enclosure work when required
- Oversee larger or more complex installation projects
- Assist with job planning, parts requirements, and installation timelines
- Help assign and coordinate work with other technicians
- Inspect completed installations and maintain quality-control standards
- Train and mentor less-experienced installers
- Help improve shop installation procedures and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional installation area
- Communicate clearly with management regarding project progress, problems, and additional work needed What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have professional experience in car audio, automotive electronics, or the 12-volt industry. We are especially interested in someone who has experience with:
- Amplifier and DSP installation and tuning
- Aftermarket and factory radio integration
- Multi-amplifier audio systems
- Custom subwoofer installations
- Vehicle electrical troubleshooting
- Automotive lighting and accessories
- Backup and fleet camera systems
- Marine and powersports audio
- OEM integration and modern vehicle data systems
- Proper wire routing, termination, soldering, crimping, and electrical testing
