You'll play a key role in enhancing vehicle connectivity and safety through expert installation of telematics devices, traveling to client and fleet locations across multiple states. This hands-on position puts you to work with cutting-edge automotive technology, integrating telematics systems across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Your technical skill and mechanical know-how will be central to delivering top-tier service to our clients. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate telematics devices across a variety of vehicles and fleets Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate system integration Utilize diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment to verify proper device operation Travel to job sites across multiple states, sometimes for extended assignments Communicate installation status and any issues clearly with the project lead/office Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on-site Requirements 1+ years of experience in automotive electrical, mobile electronics, or 12V wiring (telematics/fleet install experience a plus) Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics Comfortable using multimeters and basic diagnostic/testing equipment Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability/willingness to travel frequently (multi-state, including extended trips) Own basic hand tools; company provides specialized install equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be able to operate as an independent contractor (1099) — own your schedule, invoice for completed work Contract Type 1099 Independent Contractor — this is not a W-2 position.
