Overview Join our team as an Auto Glass Technician, where you'll play a vital role in restoring vehicle safety and appearance through expert auto glass installation and repair. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing your mechanical skills and attention to detail. As an Auto Glass Technician, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the highest safety standards in every job. Duties Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely using hand tools and power tools, ensuring no further damage to the vehicle. Install new auto glass with precision, aligning it correctly for optimal fit and function. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify additional repair needs such as auto body damage or mechanical issues. Use auto body repair techniques and detailing skills to prepare vehicles for glass installation and ensure a flawless finish. Lift heavy glass components safely, following proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure quality work. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Communicate clearly with customers about the repair process, estimated timelines, and care instructions post-installation. Qualifications Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferred, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and auto body repair equipment. Familiarity with auto glass installation procedures required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for quality craftsmanship. Valid driver's license preferred; ability to lift heavy objects safely is essential.
