Job Description
Job Summary We're a small, family-owned business that has been in the valley since 1980. We do our best to care for our employees, as we believe that is the best way to care for our customers. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our team. Experience preferred, including the ability to set windshields by yourself. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly installing, repairing, and replacing auto glass on a variety of vehicle makes and models, both in the shop and on location via mobile service. Vehicle and tools provided. Care for the customer and their vehicle must be a very high priority. The job may include some shop management as well. Duties Remove damaged or broken auto glass using hand tools and power tools with precision and care. Install new auto glass, ensuring proper fitment, sealing, and alignment to meet safety standards. Utilize advanced technology such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration tools to ensure proper sensor alignment after glass replacement. Move and organize windshields in racks without scratching or breaking them. Skills Proven experience in auto glass replacement and repair is highly preferred. Skilled in the use of necessary hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of ADAS systems calibration as well as auto glass installation techniques (some training may be expected). Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or repair tasks, although larger jobs will always be with a coworker. Positive customer and coworker interaction skills, including basic invoicing and payment collection upon job completion. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain procedures clearly to customers.
