What You'll Do Perform repairs according to repair orders, manufacturer specifications, and company standards. Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and complete all repairs while following applicable safety requirements. Road-test vehicles and verify repairs to ensure quality expertise before returning vehicles to customers. Accurately record labor time, document repairs performed, and record all testing procedures and results. Maintain and provide the required personal mechanic's tools, while using and returning dealership special tools. Use shop supplies and materials responsibly and maintain a clean, organized work area, including daily stall cleaning. Ensure every customer's vehicle is returned in the same clean condition as when it was received. Complete all required training and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications through ongoing education. Stay current by reviewing technical bulletins, participating in assigned technical training, and applying updated repair procedures. Communicate effectively with dealership personnel to meet customer needs and promptly report any safety, security, or ethical concerns to management. What You'll Bring Communicate with customers, advisors, and team members to ensure service and customer satisfaction. Perform lube and maintenance services, engine repairs, transmission repairs (automatic and manual), and drivetrain repairs independently. Diagnose and repair suspension, steering, brake, electrical, hybrid/alternative fuel, heating, and air conditioning systems without supervision. Diagnose and repair engine drivability concerns while following manufacturer procedures and best practices. Maintain manufacturer certification in all required repair areas and continuously complete required training. Hold a minimum of six ASE certifications (ASE Master Technician preferred) and maintain all required state emissions or smog certifications, where applicable. Consistently achieve a customer-pay repair proficiency level greater than 115% while delivering accurate, efficient, and high-quality repairs. Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
