Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle care! In this role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Whether working on gasoline engines, diesel systems, or advanced automotive electrical systems, your skills will keep our customers on the road with confidence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Service tires through rotation, alignment, balancing, and tire replacement to ensure safety and longevity. Execute oil changes, fluid replacements, and routine maintenance to keep vehicles running smoothly. Repair or replace auto body parts as needed, including welding and other auto body repair techniques. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly tasks. Follow dealership or shop procedures for vehicle inspections and auto estimating to ensure quality service delivery. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to customers or service advisors. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models. Dealership experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and schematics is essential for efficient troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and automotive electrical systems is preferred. Skilled in working with mechanical components such as transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension components, shocks & struts. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles to enhance client satisfaction. Ability to work safely with maintenance equipment including welding tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards.
