Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and have experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics. Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and more. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklifts safely and efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and repair tasks. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and maintenance. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and farm machinery is preferred. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Experience with diesel engine repair, air brake systems, alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to read schematics and perform electrical repairs as necessary. Knowledge of tire service procedures and assembly techniques for various machinery. Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Previous dealership experience or service technician experience is a plus.
