Automotive Technician

Legacy Cranes & Equipment is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and be capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair vehicle issues including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake replacements. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems accurately. Follow manufacturer and dealership repair guidelines and procedures. Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repairs needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Document all work performed in service records or repair orders.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus). Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred. 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills. Familiarity with repair software and diagnostic tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working on multiple vehicle makes and models. State inspection and emissions certification (if applicable). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
