In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle transmissions and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced technicians passionate about automotive repair and eager to advance their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose transmission issues using automotive diagnostics tools, schematics, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes accurately. Perform comprehensive transmission repairs, including rebuilding, replacement, and maintenance of automatic and manual transmissions. Conduct vehicle inspections focusing on powertrain components, including diesel engines, automotive suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical systems repair techniques to complete repairs efficiently. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Read and interpret technical schematics and service manuals to follow precise repair procedures. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on transmissions. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair. Experience working with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, auto body repair, auto estimating, and heavy equipment mechanics is a plus. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in mechanical systems repair. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
