In this role, you'll utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your hands-on skills and technical knowledge will help keep our customers' vehicles in prime condition, fostering trust and satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts. Execute routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs while adhering to safety standards. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems on GM vehicles and other makes. Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with team members regarding repair progress or additional work needed. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engine repair, powertrain components, and auto estimating procedures. Skilled in diagnosing issues using automotive diagnostics equipment; familiar with schematics interpretation. Proficient in repairing transmissions, alignments, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and auto body work. Experience working with ADAS technology, welding techniques, and auto electrical systems is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients while maintaining professionalism.
