Job Description
Join One of the Fastest Growing Independent Repair Shops on the Gulf Coast! Hutchins Auto Repair is looking for a motivated, energetic, and dependable Receptionist / Service Writer to be the face of our shop. If you love helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy turning great customer service into sales, we'd love to meet you. This is much more than answering phones. You'll be the first impression our customers have of our business and a key part of helping our shop grow. Responsibilities Greet every customer with a friendly, professional attitude. Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments. Check customers in and gather accurate vehicle information. Create and manage repair orders using our shop management software (Tekmetric experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person). Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle inspections and repairs. Explain repair recommendations in a clear, honest, and easy-to-understand way. Keep customers updated throughout the repair process. Collect payments and close repair orders. Help maintain an organized, clean, and professional front office. Build long-term relationships that keep customers coming back. What We're Looking For Outstanding customer service skills. Strong communication and people skills. Sales experience is a plus. Automotive knowledge is preferred but not required—we can teach the technical side. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Dependable with excellent attendance. Comfortable using computers and learning new software. Valid driver's license. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Paid vacation.
