This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing service appointments, and accurately documenting vehicle repairs and maintenance. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere Gather vehicle information and accurately document service needs using automotive diagnostics and service writing tools Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle repairs, estimates, and service recommendations, including upselling additional services when appropriate Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely vehicle servicing Prepare detailed auto estimates covering services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, tire services, suspension work, alignments, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and more Handle cash transactions and process payments securely Maintain organized records of all customer interactions and repair orders Collaborate with mechanics and service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and efficient repair processes Promote additional services like vehicle maintenance packages or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Requirements Prior automotive experience is highly preferred Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, auto body repair, air brakes, and other automotive systems Experience in auto service management and auto estimating software is desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of varying knowledge levels Proven ability in upselling automotive services and automobile sales Mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience is a plus Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical troubleshooting techniques Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations within our dealership's service department while delivering top-tier customer care.
