Job Description
Pay will start at $17/hour but is negotiable based on experience and abilities. We are a family-run business. We can appreciate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. You will be working alongside our Fleet Mechanic to keep our fleet of semi-trucks, box trucks, and vans operating.
Duties:
- Oil changes/tires/brakes
- auto A/C repair
- minor body repairs, replacing lights, wipers
- fueling trucks on scheduled days
- assist on trailer/truck box repairs (installing e-track, patching floors)
- all other routine maintenance tasks
- assist in keeping accurate and consistent records for fleet maintenance
- assist on larger repairs/mechanical issues/road calls
- keeping shop, lots, and vehicles clean and organized
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug test.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Experience in equipment maintenance and repair preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and exhibit self-motivation while on duty.
