Automotive Service Technician

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems with precision and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Service vehicles by replacing parts, performing oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Collaborate with team members to estimate repair times and communicate repair progress effectively to customers. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, auto estimating processes, and GM vehicle systems is a plus. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to deliver a positive experience.
