Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Service Department Assistant! In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between customers, technicians, and management, ensuring smooth daily operations within our busy dealership's service department. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting the technical team with administrative and service-related tasks. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with scheduling service appointments, ensuring a positive first impression. Support service technicians by preparing vehicle repair orders, estimating costs using estimating software, and documenting vehicle conditions accurately. Assist in upselling additional services or repairs by understanding customer needs and explaining benefits clearly Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records related to service work. Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair status, and recommended services to enhance customer satisfaction Experience Prior experience in an automotive dealership or auto service environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage. Knowledge of estimating software, auto estimating techniques, and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is beneficial. Experience with oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspensions, shocks & struts, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, is desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Mechanical knowledge combined with sales experience will help you excel in upselling services and automobile sales opportunities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required to support vehicle movement within the dealership premises.
