Our Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Scottsdale team is currently seeking an experienced Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our service department. In this role, you will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on trade-ins and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory. Successful candidates will possess strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic expertise, and the ability to work efficiently on a variety of makes and models. Responsibilities Inspect used vehicles to identify damages, maintenance needs, and required repairs while thoroughly documenting findings Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning Communicate additional repair or service needs to the Service Manager, including estimated completion times Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership standards and repair orders Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used throughout the reconditioning process Qualifications At least 1 year of Used Vehicle Technician experience preferred ASE certifications preferred Arizona Smog Certification is a plus Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills along with general computer proficiency Must have your own tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
