- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they are running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems.
- Diagnose and repair problems with vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and powertrain components.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Replace worn or damaged parts with new or reconditioned ones.
- Use your welding skills to repair or replace damaged or corroded metal components.
- Ensure all work is done to the highest standard and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and concerns.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and provide detailed estimates for any repairs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably with a strong background in diesel engine repair.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive mechanics and electrical systems.
- Experience with powertrain components and the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Strong understanding of automotive service and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for diagnostic and repair purposes.
- Ability to align and balance wheels and other mechanical components.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to follow safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in automotive repair.
- A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
