Job Description
Job Overview The Service Advisor is the front line of the customer experience at Auto Diagnostic & Repair. This person translates technical diagnoses into clear, trust-building customer conversations, driving authorization rates, upsell opportunities, and long-term loyalty. The ideal candidate combines sales confidence with genuine care for customers and an ability to advocate for the repair recommendation with integrity. Key Responsibilities Greet customers at vehicle drop-off, perform walk-arounds, and document all concerns accurately in the work order. Communicate technician findings to customers in plain language, building trust and confidence in the recommendation. Present service options clearly, address objections professionally, and drive authorization for recommended work. Provide regular status updates throughout the repair cycle and set accurate time expectations. Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction after vehicle pick-up. Manage the service drive workflow including scheduling, dispatching work orders, and coordinating with technicians. Upsell maintenance services aligned to vehicle condition and mileage with honesty as the non-negotiable standard. Document all services in the shop management system with accuracy and completeness.
