In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including both gasoline and diesel engines. You'll work alongside skilled technicians in a fast-paced environment that fosters growth, learning, and the opportunity to develop your automotive expertise. Your enthusiasm for customer service and mechanical knowledge will help ensure our customers leave satisfied with their vehicle's performance and safety. Duties Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks to keep vehicles running smoothly. Assist in diagnosing automotive issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical system testing. Support more experienced technicians in repairs involving transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts during repairs. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, wheel alignments, and other critical systems. Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure accurate repairs on GM vehicles or similar models. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards during all repair activities. Qualifications Previous dealership or automotive repair experience is preferred but not required; a strong mechanical aptitude is essential. Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto body repair techniques is a plus. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, auto estimating processes, and auto body repair procedures is advantageous. Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and continuous learning. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or willingness to obtain ASE certification is highly valued.
