In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Whether working on light-duty cars or heavy equipment, your skills will keep engines running smoothly and systems functioning optimally. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Service vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems and components, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other electronic modules. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles are returned in top condition. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments. Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical systems including diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy equipment mechanics work when necessary, including diesel engine repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles. Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, wheel alignments, tire service, shocks & struts, and welding techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment required for various repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid certifications or experience in GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; ongoing training in automotive electrical systems or advanced diagnostics is preferred.
