Our work will include suspension systems, wheels and tires, lighting, accessories, maintenance, diagnostics and complete vehicle builds. We are building a clean, professional shop focused on quality workmanship, strong customer service and doing the job correctly the first time. We are looking for our first full-time technician. This is an opportunity to join the shop from the beginning, help establish our standards and grow into a key position as the business expands. Position Overview The ideal technician has strong mechanical experience with Ford trucks, Raptor, offroad vehicles, suspension systems or aftermarket accessory installation. This is not an entry level position and must come with knowledge of offroad trucks (Preferably Fords) and aftermarket parts. You should be comfortable working independently, diagnosing problems, completing clean installations and communicating clearly about anything a vehicle may need. This is not a high-volume dealership environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, keeps an organized workspace and understands the level of care expected when working on premium customer vehicles. Responsibilities Install suspension systems, coilovers, shocks, control arms, steering components and related upgrades Perform routine maintenance, inspections, fluid services, brake work and general mechanical repairs Install wheels, tires, skid plates, bumpers, racks, recovery equipment and other offroad accessories Install lighting, switches, auxiliary power systems and 12-volt accessories Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension and drivability concerns Inspect vehicles and accurately identify worn, damaged or unsafe components Follow manufacturer specifications and proper torque procedures Test-drive and perform quality-control inspections after work is completed Document completed work, recommended repairs and vehicle condition Maintain a clean, organized and professional work area Protect customer vehicles throughout the repair and installation process Assist with establishing shop procedures, equipment organization and quality-control standards Communicate clearly regarding job progress, parts needs and additional findings Qualifications At least three years of professional automotive technician experience Experience working on Ford trucks, Ford Raptors, offroad vehicles or full-size trucks strongly preferred Strong understanding of suspension, steering, brakes and general vehicle systems Experience with aftermarket parts and accessory installation Basic automotive electrical and diagnostic ability Ability to read installation instructions, wiring diagrams and service information Ability to safely operate lifts, jacks, tire equipment and shop tools Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record Must be dependable, professional and comfortable communicating with the rest of the team Must have a personal set of professional automotive tools. The Offroad OR will purchase specialty tools necessary for installations. Ford training, ASE certifications, welding, fab experience and advanced diagnostic skills are valuable but not required. The right technician takes ownership of their work, notices problems before they become comebacks and understands that every truck represents a customer who expects professional results.
