What You'll Do:
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in keeping our mobile fleet and specialized equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably in high-impact environments like mining, construction, and blasting operations. You'll work hands-on with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mobile processing equipment, helping ensure our operations stay productive and compliant. Other duties include:
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on heavy equipment, diesel engines, and company vehicles
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Maintain and repair mobile processing units (MPUs), bulk delivery systems, and blending equipment
Keep accurate maintenance records and service logs to ensure compliance and equipment reliability
Manage parts inventory, procurement, and cost control
Support equipment inspections, safety checks, and regulatory compliance
Supervise and mentor junior mechanics and technicians
Assist with equipment operation, loading, and field support activities as needed
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and ATF regulations
Promote a strong safety culture, including hazard assessments (HAT), Take 5 processes, and proactive risk management
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred) 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, or industrial maintenance Strong knowledge of Diesel and gasoline engines, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Electrical systems and Welding Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and SOPs Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally. Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
