At 15 employees and growing, Sullivan's Tire Pros & Auto Repair is a family owned and operated, full service. one-stop shop. We specialize in the complete repair and maintenance of cars, SUV's, light trucks and limited RV service, while also offering an on-hand selection of over 1000 tires. We strive to treat our employees as family, customers as guests and to always give back to our supportive community. Position Summary We are in search of a general automotive technician with a strong ability in vehicle diagnostics, including, but not limited to fault coded, symptoms, noises and leaks. Key responsibilities of a diagnostic auto technician: Vehicle diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic scan tools to read and interpret fault codes from a vehicle's computer system to identify potential malfunctions.System inspections:
Conduct thorough visual inspections of engine components, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and other vehicle systems to identify potential issues.Test driving:
Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance and replicate reported problems.Troubleshooting:
Analyze diagnostic data and use their mechanical knowledge to pinpoint the source of a problem.Repair recommendations:
Prepare detailed repair estimates, outlining necessary parts and labor required to fix the identified issues.Component testing:
Use specialized tools to test individual components like sensors, actuators, and electrical circuits.Communication with customers:
Explain complex technical issues to customers in understandable terms and discuss repair options.Maintaining documentation:
Accurately document repair procedures, parts used, and findings on work orders.Staying updated:
Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and diagnostic procedures through training and manufacturer updates.Required skills and qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude: Thorough understanding of how vehicle systems work, including engine mechanics, electrical systems, and braking systems.Diagnostic software proficiency:
Ability to navigate and interpret information from various diagnostic scan tools.Technical knowledge:
Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.Problem-solving skills:
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions Attention to detail: Meticulous approach to inspections and repairs to ensure accuracy Communication skills: Clear and concise communication with customers and colleagues to explain diagnoses and repair needsJob Type:

$75,000.00- $100,000.
